2006-08-07 11:29 AM Books? Books? Books? A Tongue in Cheek Attempt at RM’s Books, Books, Books Meme
1. One Book That Changed Your Life -- Suzanne Somers’ Eat, Cheat, and Melt the Fat Away 2. One Book That You've Read More Than Once -- Boyfriend 101: A Gay Guy’s Guide to Dating, Romance, and Finding True Love 3. One Book You'd Want on a Desert Island -- Survive on a Desert Island, by Claire Llewellyn 4. One Book That Made You Laugh -- The Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction: Report to the President of the United States 5. One Book That Made You Cry -- Ibid. 6. One Book You Wish Had Been Written -- “Gore More Years: The Chronicle of the Greatest President Since Lincoln” 7. One Book That You Wish Had Never Been Written -- Thin Thighs in 30 Days 8. One Book You're Currently Reading -- Does a Sudoku book count as reading? But seriously for a moment…it’s “Espresso Tails” This is the second book in Alexander McCall Smith’s 44 Scotland Street series. Originally these two books were serialized first, a la Tales of the City. I find these books vastly superior to the Isabel Dalhousie series, and it’s not as simplistic as the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency books (not that simple is necessarily bad…I still like the books.) 9. One Book You've Been Meaning to Read -- “Purpose Driven Pets” by Fluffie Warren 10. I'm supposed to tag five people. But that body spray is just nasty and so I’ll just say hello to them instead. (apologies to Rick Warren...I know he doesn't have an author/cat in the family.) Read/Post Comments (12) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
