2006-12-16 8:39 PM The 123:5 meme It's the 123:5 meme, as seen at The Vicar of Hogsmeade.
The rules are: 1. Grab the nearest book. 2. Open the book to page 123. 3. Find the fifth sentence. 4. Post the text of the next four sentences on your blog, along with these instructions. 5. Don’t you dare dig for that “cool” or “intellectual” book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest! So the nearest book is "The Best Kitchen Quick Tips" from the America's Test Kitchen people. (I swear it was sitting next to my chair.) So, page 123 is about cleaning copper bottom pans. The fifth sentence is the conclusion to the recommendation on what to use to clean them: "The acidity in the ketchup lifts the tarnish away." The next three sentences are a different tip: "Cooks often find themselves without enough cooling racks, especially during the holidays when baking lots of pies. Jury-rig extra racks with this method. Place four dinner knives on a countertop, alternating the direction of the blades and spacing them more than an inch apart." Have a happy third Sunday of Advent! Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
