2007-07-02 5:18 PM Libby.Free.Justice.Bound So Shrub doesn't want Scooter in jail.
Scooter committed a felony. A jury said so. Scooter took one for the team. Now the team captain is punching his ticket. The team captain now has zero credibility. This isn't about Scooter anymore. It's about people who say they don't have to live by the same rules as everyone else. Shrub says the "prison sentence given Mr. Libby is excessive." Hmmmmm....I wonder what he thinks about the 5 years and counting that detainees in Guantanamo have been imprisoned thousands of miles from their families with no contact...Oh, yes...and no trial by a jury of their peers...or anyone. But then again...if the rules don't apply to govern the actions of Shrub's friends, then I guess they don't apply to protect Shrub's enemies. Long live the king?
