Brrrr! Baby, it’s COLD outside! At least that is the case where I am this morning. We are in a January deep freeze. Have a cup of hot tea and tackle five easy seasonal questions.


1. What is the thermometer reading at your house this morning?

Before dawn it was -2. Right now (2:15 pm) it is 15 degrees with a wind chill of 3.


2. Snow—love it or hate it?
Generally, love it. When I have to spend two hours clearing the church and manse sidewalks and steps (4 sets), I sometimes change my mind.


3. What is winter like where you are?
Cold...sometimes beautiful cold, sometimes scary cold.
This January has been bizarre. High of 62...low of 10 below.


4. Do you like winter sports? Any good stories?
Figure skating. To watch, not do. I used to follow basketball, but couldn't care less now.


5. What is your favorite season, and why?
Fall. The colors, the temps, the relaxation. (No major church holidays...plus family time at Thanksgiving.)
