2008-05-08 10:38 PM If Pastorgate is good for the goose, is Mr. McCain ready to defend Rev. Hagee and Rev. Parsley John McCain has made no secret of the fact that he is courting the evangelical Christian vote in the coming Presidential election. Well, good for him, that's his choice.
But as his seconds continue to throw stones at Barack Obama for Rev. Wright (a truly tired issue that clearly didn't have too much of an impact in North Carolina), there are growing calls for McCain to come clean about his views on and connection with Revs. Hagee (God smote New Orleans because there was going to be a gay parade that weekend) and Rev. Parsley (All Muslems are evil and seek to destroy America). Last time I checked, hate in the name of God was something Mr. McCain's people were against. So where is the condemnation of these two leaders with whom McCain has appeared at rallies and as to whom he readily accepts and is "honored" by their endorsements. I'm just wondering...
