1. Continues first draft on Buinne
2. rewrites on Faceless, Moybell
Will read To Be tomorrow at WWC, then rewrite and send it out. Read To Be. They told me to submit it to the New Yorker, so I did!
Finished the rewrite for Faceless and I am really stoked. Jim's suggestions worked so well and adding Shirl's input just fixed it perfectly. I am letting a couple of peeps read it and then it's flying.
Did another rewrite after talking to Meg. Sent that out to VPC for critique.
People clapped when I read it at the WCW!!
SENT IT TO FANTASY AND SCI FI 11-9-04
3. Rewrite on FC--How do I remove the prophecy plot line and still keep it coherent?
4. Prepare chapter for tonight--done
5. Screenplay on FC
What do my main characters desire--write scenes with 25 obstacles for each one to block that desire.
premise done
working on the 12 point--done, but needs redoing
with new ideas.
bios--done.
outline--is done! Time for the redraft and to add the scene and action.
Finished the worlds and bios assignment. Working more on Cyth politics and Manon. I think I need some Manon story line while Reed is on earth, but not sure what yet.
I realized I can use Gormlaith a lot more than I have. I am going to have to cut a lot of Armen's supernatural stuff out which pisses me off, but it's the only way I can make the story work. He's still going to be the ultimate cool master though.
Got rid of the whole goddess/prophecy/chosen one aspect to the plot. It's mostly in my head, and I won't have time to write anything until tonight--sobs. But at least it's there.
Wrote the Cyth description yesterday.
Armen is only going to be in present time. The boy who kills the dragon will not be connected to him. Will use voice over and narrative with Gormlaithe to explain Armen's ch'i powers. Won't kill Sam--just injure him, then Armen heals not raises.
Worked more on the outline. I downloaded ROTK to see how they structured it on paper. I was surprised at the sparse description. I made a script notes page with descriptions of the various creatures populating Cyth and Earth.
6. Graphic novel of FC--Talked to Angela. She wants to do the graphic novel for Buinne, which works for me.
7. Write ghost sword. Epic short story for David's anthology.
8.Since Brian's class is cancelled this week, going to devote my time to the short stories. Do the rewrite on Faceless and DCEM, send them out and write the epic.
9.show toys to the VP board and ask for advice on its esotericism.
