I took Debby to her colonoscopy appointment today. She did well and looks like the cancer has not spread. Very good news. She starts chemo next week. She is very thin and somewhat frail looking, but she is in good spirits. We had lunch after and laughed and gossiped. I am just going to enjoy her and take care of her. All we really have is today, and today she's alive.

The IEP meeting had a positive effect on Joe. He showered and cut his nails, last night without me asking him. Then, he watched Amazing Race with me, laughing and just relaxing. We walked nearly a mile today. I think he's comfortable in the special ed class. I am relieved and hopeful this new class and the Special Ed structure will help him recover.

I am feeling pretty wiped, but the next few days are filled with seeing friends and having a good time. I am going to buy Neil Gaiman's new book, Anansi, tomorrow, as I am attending his book signing with my writing pal, Dave, on Saturday.

The Santa Ana winds have kicked up, so I think I will buy more wind chimes too.

I don't want rage in my life anymore. And I don't want narcissistic people. Kindness. That is what I want. Kind people.
