Here's another QuickTime. I shot this one from a rock outcrop overlooking the farm where we're staying, which can be seen down to the left as the panorama opens. It took about 12 minutes to arrive at the top of rocks from the farmhouse.

The pano is somewhat dark because I shot it at 10:15 PM. It opens to the south. As you can see, this region has many farms. As the pano swings to the right, in the distance you can kind of make out the largest town in the region. It looks like low-light panos aren't the best, so I shall try to daylight one on one of our days off.

If the somewhat higher rocks to the north disappeared, you'd be able to see the Arctic Ocean, and the large chunk of rock some four miles out, where Grettir (a saga character) was outlawed. At one point during that time, his fire went out and he swam to shore to get some coals to take back out.

Skagafjordur, on the evening of July 26th.
