Three cool things this morning to make Patrick a happy person:

Firstly, it's snowing. When I got up, there was no snow at all. By the time I got to the bus stop a couple of hours later, after the writing session, it was deep. This is probably the most snow we've had this year. It's a bit warm so the snow isn't settling in town, but out where we live it's wonderful.

Secondly, in the Internet Review of Science Fiction, Bluejack posted an absolutely glowing review of my story Crab Apple which was in the February 2005 issue of Realms of Fantasy.

"There are two stories here, each gently dancing around the other. In the first, Samphire handles a child's reactions to the serious illness of his only remaining parent with extraordinary finesse....

"Samphire really does a beautiful job with this short piece."

Finally, Steph's story Stitching Time is now up as the lead story in this month's Fortean Bureau. This has always been one of my favourites of Steph's stories. It's really great. Go and read it.
