Lazy days, tea and opera

Working part time is cool. It's just after 1.15pm and I'm at home. A long, lazy afternoon lies ahead, just interupted by dog walk, writing, washing dishes, cooking, tidying etc. If I'm lucky, I might even get to read something.... nah.

What I'm really trying not to do with my extra time is surf the world wide internets. I'm supposed to be doing extra writing. I actually had this vision of sitting doing writing for four or five hours every day, churning out works of staggering, heart-stopping genius. Not really happening. But I am managing an hour or so a day of real writing time.

I have so much green tea I don't know where to put it. My very sexy tea chest is full of Lung Ching and Sencha. I have a little bag of Kiyosawa and another little bag of Tea Rose, and enormous bags of Gunpowder tea and Genmaicha. And, yes, I am showing off. I am a green tea addict. Just give me more. I'll find somewhere to put it.

Last night we went to the opera to see Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel. (The website is the one that Steph edits and creates--it's cool). I'm not really an opera fan, to say the least, but this was a wonderful production and I really enjoyed myself. This may possibly be the first opera I've actually enjoyed. I would say go and see it, but you probably won't get the chance. :)

Steph gave a pre-opera talk about the opera, for the second time. There were probably 60 people there, and it went down really well.

Off to laze around. I mean write. Write.
