So, it appears I'm going to be on some panels at Wiscon. I've just received my list:

Welcome to Our Worlds (Readings)

Erk! I've never been on a panel before. I don't know how to do a panel. I don't know anything about any of these topics. Why did I agree to this? Whose idea was this? I need to go and have a lie down. Gah.

I launched into a new novel a couple of days ago. Again. This one is going to be the sequel to the novel I finished in February, The All-Father. Maybe I'll read a bit of that one at Wiscon. The new novel is called The Trickster. I'm kind of regretting planning a trilogy now. The first novel was easy. It was just fun. I wrote whatever I wanted, just using the rule that what I wrote had to be the most exciting and most fun stuff I could manage. Now I'm on the second book, I've got all that weight of the first novel sitting behind me, distorting everything like a black hole. Now it's not easy at all. How did that happen?

It's almost Easter. I gave up chocolate and alcohol for lent, and now that it's almost over it's got really hard. I think it's having Easter eggs and champagne in the house. Will power has never been my strong point.

Mostly we've stopped using our own broadband and we've been piggybacking on our neighbour's wireless network. Only it's turning out to be a bit unreliable, particularly when she's using it herself. We've been considering going around to complain...
