I'm sitting here at the future in-laws' place in Iowa... Yes, Iowa. It's a fine state. Nothing too exciting, nothing to dangerous. Nothing too interesting, but rather, particularly boring --- just like Iowans like it. Normal, boring, safe. Nothing wrong with that, of course.

Nothing at all.

My trip log: 5 days, 955 Miles, 15 hours. Beds slept in: 4 (counting a couch at my home in Western MN). Calories consumed: ~21,000.

The holiday has been great, save for all of the driving.

Good Thanksgiving dinner. Good sales at Pop's store on the day after. Good dinner to look forward to tonight. Good weekend. Much needed reprieve from Chicago. Much needed.

I'm online right now researching U.S. Supreme Court decisions on AP v. US (1945). I've got another paper due Monday. Woo-hoo. One last week of crap, then we'll all be able to move on to more interesting and important things.

We're going to see prospective wedding band tonight, at a NASCAR-themed bar in Des Moines. Should be interesting. Who knew they played tasteful jazz at a NASCAR bar? Only in IOWA, my friends. Only in IOWA.

At least the weather is better here than in Chicago or Minnesota. It started snowing in Chicago after I left, and it started snowing in MN after I left.

If you're reading this from Iowa, expect to start seeing flurries sometime around 4 p.m. on Sunday, if all goes to plan.

I didn't know I brought the wrath of winter with me wherever I go. I guess that's why my last name is Frost.

Time to go. I've got to get "freshened up" for the holiday photo and the forthcoming dinner.

Hope the Holidays treated everyone as well as me... at least as well as if you were in Iowa.
