2005-02-28 11:52 PM Finally out of the woods? Read/Post Comments (2) |
Let's do a quick rundown of the past month, in no particular order:
1) Contraction of the death flu. Defeated. 2) Crashed hard drive. Files Extracted. Reinstalled. 3) 6 stitches in finger. Removed. 4) Major magazine story. Completed (finally, after three weeks and 5,600 words later). 5) Monthlong hiatus from Fiancee(TM). Visited. I think I'm finally out of the woods, my friends. You know, I really don't have that much to complain about, relatively speaking. I'm not dying. I'm not in Iraq. I'm no longer working at Marshall Field's. I'm getting married. Shit, if you look at the content of my complaints, you might say I have nothing to complain about at all. But, if I had nothing to complain about, I'd have nothing to talk about. Frankly, I'd be pretty damn boring. I'm going to bed. In peace. Without a 5,600 word article hanging in the balance. Peace. Peace at last. It was a February worth forgetting. But it's over. And the warmth and glow of spring is just around the corner. I can hear the pop of the mitt and the crack of a wooden bat somewhere in Florida. Things are looking up. Finally, farewell Good Doctor. And Farewell February. Mahalo. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
