As of my final exam in class tonight, I will be done with school at Cal State San Bernardino!!!! And last night I calculated that even if I do fail my final exam, I will still pass the class, which is very cool. I've been going to Cal State since 96, off and on though, but still, I am just really burnt out on this place. So, I will come home tonight to a bottle of champagne, and hopefully get to talk to Dennis who I miss terribly. Ren faire stuff starts pretty much this weekend with our first guild meeting, and me trying to get out of having to be there for the first weekend of rehersals so that I can go to Vegas for a wedding.
On another topic, news people suck! Yes, we are on the brink of war, it is hours away, but this morning, the news was focused on two things, The Oscars and Disneylnad. Lets take the Disney topic first, how there are no-fly-zones over the Disneyland because of it being a possible target for a terrorist attack, it it really necessary to talk about it the whole freaking morning, spend the entire news cast in front of Disneyland. This is how it takes a nosedive into the safe little world that kids should be able to live in, my neice and nephew had to hear several times this morning, no matter what station we put it on, that we are scared that someone is gonna bomb the place. I know I want my kid having to think about that the whole day at school, come on! And the Oscars, during the conversation that Nicole Kidman was having with the press, a pretty serious one about, ya know, the war, she was interrupted by a questiong about what she was wearing. The fact that people care more about who designed her dress than how a war is affecting everything in our lives is just wrong, and it's just a dumb awards show, there are 200 awards shows each year. Oh well, I'm done with that rant. If it even made much sense.
On a nicer note, I got in touch with a cool guy from High School that I haven't seen in 6 or 7 years, and we are having lunch on Friday, so that will just totally rock.
