Fire Monster

So, I woke up yesterday morning in Costa Mesa to have it raining ash on me and to see so much smoke it looked like fog and turned the sun into a red dot in the sky. Then, I had to make my way out here to the lovely San Bernardino area which is on fire. I had to come out here to try on and pick out bridesmaid dresses for my friend Stephanie's wedding, and it's not only hard to breathe out here, it's scary. So many of my friends have been evacuated, so many have lost their homes. Cal State was on fire last night, and this morning I keep seeing pictures of how the fire is about to consume the Rennaisance Faire in Devore. We actually just stood outside last night and watched the fire on the hills near a friends house, it was so surreal. I couldn't imagine just suddenly loosing everything, espeically a home. The evacuation area is getting closer and closer to where I am right now, we keep getting more and more calls from friends who are having to take what they can and leave their homes. Yesterday and the day before, I was just able to see it on TV, then I came out here to Rialto and am pretty much in the middle of it, and it's a totally different feeling. I'm scared for my friends all over the place out here. Some of us were thinking of getting a bit closer to the flames last night to watch and take pictures, but the rest of us (like me) didn't think if was a good idea to add to the chaos by trying to get closer of places being evacuated. So what was supposed to be a jun weekend of hanging out with old friends has been a bit crazy. I'll ramble more later.
