So, after being in this country for a couple of months, I finally get to see the animals that Australia is known for. Dennis took me to the Australian Reptile park yesterday, and we has so much fun. It's not like a normal Zoo, you could reach in and almost touch the critters, and there were Kangaroos and Emus running around all over the place, well, laying around all over the place, those roos were lazy. They aren't in cages or anything, so you can per them while checking out the other animals, the only things in cages were the things that could kill you pretty much. Oh, they had the biggest lake full of Aligators that I have ever seen, and there where like 30 of them in there. It was just a lake with a fence around it and you could just look at aligators everywhere, it was so unreal. And of course they had the Koalas, which got real boring real fast. I finally got to see Tasmanian Devils up close and not completely caged in, sure there was a fence, but it was only waist high and you could probabally reach in and pet the thing if ya didn't mind getting your fingers bit off. The spider exibit was pretty impressive, adn of course the snakes and stuff were cool, but a bit unnerving was the peopole who did demonstrations with these deadly things for us, poisonous spiders and snakes out in the open on stage for all to see while they got handled, a pregnant chick holding a funnelweb spider was almost a bit too much. And the guy with the most deadly snakes in the world was wearing shorts while he played with a rattlesnake from the U.S. and a couple of deadly ones from around here. He was cute though. It was a very fun day, a bit of a freakish drive though, I'm still not used to the was people drive out here, especially Dennis who goes a little crazy in traffic and has no patience. I'd hate to see him ever try to drive in L.A. because what they consider traffis is completely different from what we consider traffic. I had planned to go to the beach again today, but the weather seems to know when I want to go and always decide to suck. I guess it's winter out here so I have to expect that, but most days it's beautiful and sunny and stuff, you'd never know that it's supposed to be winter right about now.
