Okay, I haven't seen The Passion of the Christ. If the movie focussed on the teachings of Jesus, I might be interested, but I really have no desire to watch two hours of someone being brutally tortured.

I've heard some commentary about the movie being anti-Semitic, portraying Jews as the ones who condemned Jesus to the cross. Last year, I posted about being uncomfortable attending an Easter service which gave the same message.

Here's the question I want to ask, based upon what I understand to be certain premises of the Christian religion:

If, in fact, Jesus were fated to Die For Our Sins, if it were necessary for him to be martyred in order for future generations to be saved, and if the Jews were responsible, then why have some people hated Jews for helping fulfill Jesus' destiny?

Just a thought.
