Cute saying #1:

Watching Hunter sitting at the table in Grandma's family room as I was in the kitchen, prepping food, I thought he was coloring.

However, even though yes, those were crayons next to him, he actually had an old lemon on a plate and had successfully dissected it with a serving spoon and was eating it. Admittedly, it was a Meyer lemon, which is sweeter than regular lemons, but still....

Grandma and I walk up to him and ask what he's doing. He looks up at us and says, "Sour?"

Cute saying #2:

Hunter and I go into the room where Shawn's been working on something.

Hunter rushes up to Shawn and says, "Hi!"

Shawn beams down at his little boy and says, "Hi!"

Hunter smiles back at him and says, "Nice to meet you!"

Cute saying #3:

After Hunter had gone to bed, I realized I'd left something in the bedroom. He stirred when I came in and asked me to turn the music back on ("Nutcracker Suite," of course.)

After doing so, I rummaged around a bit, found what I'd been looking for, and tried to quietly slip out of the room again.

"Mama?"

"Yes, sweetie?"

"Say nite nite."

"Night, night, sweetie."

"Say, 'I yuv you.'"

"I love you very, very much, Hunter."

"I yuv you too."

And thus the ritual was complete.
