The good news is that we're still in no danger from the fire, and the winds have died down a bit, making it easier to try to contain the blaze.

The bad news is that, due to aforementioned change in the wind, the valley is now full of smoke.

The good news is that, due to the smoke, the schools are closed and I didn't have to go to work today.

The bad news is that I'm enjoying my unexpected time off in the company of an intestinal bug.
