During the assembly, the possibly ASD kid asked me why I was always happy. I told him it was because I thought Life was wonderful.

It wasn't until this morning that it struck me that there was a good chance that the reason he asked me that is because he was accustomed to people being angry with him (for not listening, not behaving, being squirmy, etc.)

Breaks my heart.
