Big Dental Meeting!

We're heading to Chicago for the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting tomorrow.

This meeting used to be the biggest dental meeting in the world, but I do believe others, including the ADA Annual Session, have passed it. Still, it draws a crowd from all over the country, and world, for that matter. I've seen (though not really met) doctors from all over Europe and from Japan.

There are always some big name (well, big names to dentists) speakers at this conference, and this year is no exception. We'll be going to lectures all day on Friday and on Saturday. We're thinking of going back on Sunday to prowl around the exhibition floor, and we'll probably take the kiddies. They like getting the freebies that the exhibitors are giving away.

It's also an opportunity to meet up with friends from school, and we have plans to go to dinner with a group of my buddies. There are also some nice parties sponsored by the big supply companies. We'll probably try to do a few of those also, on Friday night at least.

I doubt there will be any world changing (well, dental-world, anyway) announcements or demonstrations, but it's always a learning experience. And after taking some CE, I always seem to have a little more enthusiasm to get back to the office on Monday morning.

God knows, I could use a little right now.

Have a great weekend, readers! (This of course is assuming I have any readers...)
