It's probably just me, but in this cold and calculating world of political gamesmanship, I couldn't help wondering if the wedding of Jenna Bush (all over the news the last few days) and its timing might be politically motivated.

I do think it makes President Bush more human, more like the rest of us. He's been referencing the wedding for a couple of weeks, about how nervous he is about it, how much it's costing, how much planning, etc.

If his approval ratings spike up a bit, I don't think it would hurt McCain and the Republican chances at this point...

But I'm probably just being cynical.
