It's been a busy week. So this entry is just to catch up on some goings-on.

Important stuff: Nothing earthshaking or life shattering is happening! ;-) I had a busy day at work on Monday, then followed it by going home and leaving immediately for my sons' school book fair. My wife took son #2 to his karate class, and I stayed at said fair with son #1. We donated a book to each of their classes, and bought each of them 3 books. Thank God for credit cards!

Then they had a school program by a children's musician named Thaddeus Rex. He was pretty good, even by adult standards. I was thinking, as I watched him play in front of a gym full of people by himself, "this takes a lot of balls!" I couldn't do it. That's the truth. I can get up in front of people with a band, and with an instrument either in front of me or strapped around my neck, but not solo. Maybe on piano, I could do a song or two, but it would be sort of nerve wracking...

Tuesday, I had the day off. So I did...nothing. All day, until the kids got home from school. Then of course it was, help with the homework, practice piano, go to son #1's karate class, and get home and get them showered. Even after doing absolutely nothing but reading and playing a computer game and checking on the internet for a bit, I was wiped out.

So Wednesday, it was back to work for a long day. It was another fairly busy day. Not chicken-with-head-cut off busy, but steady busy. Not much time to do anything but see patient after patient. About 4 pm, I got a migraine. I don't get migraines that are tremendously painful. My problem is the visual symptoms BEFORE the migraine. I get a flashing appearance, and can't see hardly at all, for 10-30 minutes. This one was a short one. Probably 10 or 15 minutes. Then a dull headache and "tired" eyes afterward. Nothing incapacitating, like I've seen others suffer during migraines, but certainly annoying. I don't know if they're stress related or eye-strain related. So it was early to bed on Wednesday night, and I slept like a rock!

So here we are on Thursday, I've been steady-busy again. The day started off crazy-busy, with a patient from Monday who broke something on the tooth I'd prepped for an onlay, and when I told her that I'd have to reschedule her to actually do the work, she got a little put out, since it'd been hurting her since it broke. (But yet not enough to come on Wednesday, or even come back later in the day on Monday...) So I ended up having to numb her, and I redid what I did on Monday, replaced a temp, and sent her on her way. Of course, that made me run late the rest of the morning. Yet, because of a procedure at the end of the morning that went particularly well, I finished ON TIME!

I had some coupons so I got my son another book, this one a Magic Treehouse book (the latest) called (I think) "Midnight of the Magic Flute". It's funny, but I learn a bunch from these books, too. I've not read them all, but I've read a handful and have picked up some stuff I didn't know before. Wondering what I might learn from this one. (Coupon was a 40% off at Borders.) Also I had some gift cards from Best Buy, so I got BOLT (released this week and thus on sale) and QUANTUM OF SOLACE (also on sale as a new release).

So far this afternoon has gone swimmingly. I'm done early on my first patient, and we expect the next one in (now) about 3 minutes. Then I'm off till Monday! (My wife works tomorrow.) Probably I won't be on here till then. So have a great weekend, all. See ya later!
