2004-12-02 8:40 AM Even more baby pictures Anna wasn't too thrilled about being stuck in a pumpkin patch. So, in a fit of insanity, I decided to host a Pampered Chef party this weekend. The only reason I said I would host a party is because my step-daughter-in-law (who I really like) invited me to her party, and the hostess always gets extra "points" if other people at the party agree to host future parties, and no one else had stepped up to say they would host one... so I volunteered. It's pretty absurd when you think about it considering how little I cook. I mean, yes, Pampered Chef sells really nice cooking supplies, but I just don't cook enough (at all) for me to care about my pots and pans that much. But now I'm facing that unsettling moment when over half of the people on my invitation list have called to say they can't come, and even though I don't really care about getting a bunch of "points" for free stuff, I really don't want to have a lame-ass party where only three people show up. (So far that's the number of firm attendees I have. Groan.) Hopefully Jack will be able to scrape up a few more people from his coworkers and friends. Jack, darling husband that he is, even said that he would stay and be another warm body at this party, which is a huge sacrifice for him since he was originally planning on going to the Tulane game on Saturday. Heck, he's the one who does all the cooking, so he actually might enjoy it. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
