Jeez, Christmas can be such a horking pain in the ass. Most of it went all right today--the usual presents and dinner and all went nicely. It was just me, Jack, my mom and my friend, Kat, but it was very pleasant. The bummer came when 8pm rolled around and Jack's kids had yet to call or come by. I'm so aggravated at those spoiled little shits.

Sigh. I guess they'll come by at some point this weekend to get their presents. I'm so glad we've scaled way back on presents for them. Last year we got each of them a book and a gift card for $50. We did the same thing this year. Who knows--maybe that's why they didn't come by? I'd be willing to bet good money that not one of the books given last year got read.

Okay, enough of the sour cynicism. Merry Christmas, y'all.
