By the way, for the writer-types out there, John Joseph Adams (assistant editor at The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction) has declared June to be Slush Writer Appreciation Month (or SWAM for short!) He’s been posting interviews of rescued slush writers in his blog, and other shows of appreciation are forthcoming.

I tried to talk him into including chocolate with every rejection, but he didn’t think the postal service would appreciate that, considering that summer is well upon us. Oh, well. I tried!
