2003-05-26 10:01 PM Sea Horses, On Writing, And Whatnot Part of this three day weekend, ending with Memorial Day, was spent at the Newport Aquarium on the coast. Sea Dragons are bizarre and beautiful. They look like fossils with leaves.
Then it was fun to see the way Sea Horses wrap their tails around blades of kelp to anchor themselves. Sea Horses even seem to cuddle (how cute)by grouping together. We even saw a Sea Horse try to anchor itself around the tail of a bigger one and was towed along the bottom of the tank. The little guy got a bit of a ride. This weekend I also worked on the novel. I got a lot of revision done today. It's looking good for tomorrow too. Even if I have to go back to work. I've also been reading Stephen King's On Writing. I've read bits and pieces of this book before, but never straight through. I'm over half done with it now. There's a lot of stuff that rings true to me. Maybe I'll elaborate more when I finish it. Or another time when I'm not ready to go to bed. Goodnight! Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
