2004-11-29 9:07 PM One Down, Six To Go I'm already done with Dark Tower I and now I'm into Dark Tower II: The Drawing OF The Three. The Drawing sucked me in with a strong opening. The Gunslinger is anticipating serious trouble after an incident on a stretch of beach (notice how I didn't give anything away for those who haven't read it, but those who have read it know what I'm talking about). But what about the first book? There were a lot of high points, a lot of stuff I liked, but there were slow points too with some flashbacks. Some of those flashbacks dragged I thought. Book One did pique my interest, though. And since it was the first Tower book written early on for Stephen King, I have a hunch the other novels will be better. I am enjoying the ride. ************************************************ Sunday wasn't a strong writing day for whatever reason. My discipline can be fickle, especially with something new and when I'm trying to write regularily again. 300 words yesterday. Today, Monday, I wrote 1200 words. They came easy, too.
