Radcon weekend goes so much better when we can arrive on Friday at a decent hour. Ximena had the day off Friday so we drove during the day and made it the con hotel within minutes of her first panel.

The weather was gorgeous, not cold like last year.

The readings, as always, were poorly attended. It was great to see people I don't see often enough. Former Wordo, Patty Briggs, was there and we got her new book, the same book that made it to the New York Times Best Seller list for mass market paperback. She's doing well. She had so many people at her signings, she was late for at least one panel. She's doing great and it's wonderful to see.

On Sunday we heard about fellow Wordo, John Burridge, winning third place in the Writers Of The Future contest for the fourth quarter. We have two members going to the WOTF ceremony this year!

I got a couple of story ideas while at the convention. On the drive home my mind was just tripping on an idea for a young adult novel. I'm so jazzed about this one, I'm itching to write it immediately. The current novel needs to be done, and it's coming along, but now I have some great motivation to finish it--so that I can write the next one!
