2002-01-18 7:30 PM Love, marriage, and chicken Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Thrilled beyond belief Koo Koo Roo isn't exactly the most romantic place on the planet, I'll give you that. It's a rotisserie chicken joint, somewhat better than KFC in that you don't feel your arteries stiffening as you eat their food.
But, it's where I asked Jen to marry me this evening. And she said yes. It wasn't my intention to ask her at Koo Koo Roo - in fact, I was planning on doing it next month, on Valentine's Day, at Disney Land. Maybe in the Cinderella Castle, or something like that. But sometimes the feeling just hits you, and you've got to go with it. So I did. I mean, there could have been worse places to do it. My dad proposed to my mom when she was half asleep, on the B-Train in Brooklyn at 3 in the morning... I wanted at the very least to give Jen the benefit of total consciousness. And it's not like it was a bad restaurant - poping the question in Yoshinoya just ain't right. So, Koo Koo Roo. It'll make a hell of a story years down the line. [Note: It's January 29th right now, and I found our that the Cinderella Castle will be closed on Valentine's Day. So much for planning!] :) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
