Tonight was... okay, let's just say that as much as I loved it, I'm glad it's over. I hate being all worked up and nervous about stuff.

I got a chance to meet Jen's dad tonight, for the first time. I've heard about him for years, including the rumor that he was, in fact, nothing more than an urban legend. But tonight he had a stopover in Los Angeles on his way to San Diego, and he, Jen and I went out to dinner. We left the cats home.

Thankfully, I didn't have much to be nervous about. Her dad is a really nice guy, very laid back and funny. Kind of the opposite of how I imagined him, but yay! I was wrong. Jen tells me that he likes me too, so that's another reassurance there. It's always good to have your future in-laws liking you.

So, we're home now, and just futzing around until bedtime. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LEGAL ETHICS GRADE, SWEETIE! Doing journal stuff, and generally web-surfing until it's time to hit the sack. I've got work again tomorrow (took the day off today), so I get to look forward to waking up early once again. Bleh.
