It's something they do every so often to test emergency preparedness in case of a major emergency (earthquake, bombing, and so on) and lucky me, I got to be a victim. The premise of the drill was that a "dirty bomb" had exploded at a nearby high school, and I (along with one of my co-workers, Yolanda) were both the most injured victims. I was lovingly nicknamed "shrapnel-boy" by one of the nurses. So, I spent the first hour and a half of my day lying down, on a relatively comfortable hospital bed. We should definitely do this more often. :)
