Hey, look. It's a hill. Next stop - over it.

Well, I'm 28 today. That's two years from 30. Gah.

On the bright side, I'm far beyond where I thought I'd be at this point in my life. I'm married - happily, I might add - and I have a pretty solid job. Overall, things are good.

Doesn't mean I'm not getting old, though.

And yes, I know there are people out there who are past the ripe old age of 28. I'm just attached to when I was, oh, 23. 23 was a good age. 28 is half a decade past that.

I've resolved (for my birthday - it's a bit late for a New Year's resolution) that I'm actually going to post regularly on here from this point on. Sort of a journal of my waning years, as I start that long, dark road towards decrepitude.

Is "decrepitude" actually a word?

To accentuate the positive, though, Jen was a sweetie and got me a kick-ass present last night for my birthday. I got her a Palm Pilot for Christmas and, as she succinctly put it, I've been "eyeing it like a hungry puppy". Must be the computer science major in me, but I like gadgets. If it's got buttons, switches, and some sort of electrical current, I'm all over it. So, last night she got me my very own PDA, which I'll be trying to set up here at work when I get a slow moment this morning. Ah, gizmos. Gotta love 'em. Thank you, Jen!

Well, it's off to the grind right now. I'll post more if something interesting happens.
