A Really Overdue Update
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Mood:
Slacking at this journal thing

I'm really bad about making journal entries. Some of it is that I don't have a lot of time at work to do it, and some of it is, well... I'm a slacker. I've learned to accept that.

So much stuff has happened since my last entry, that it's about damn time I updated. If you want far more reliable entries, check out my wife's journal, but if for some reason you're enamored of my spiffy-but-infrequent style of writing, well, this is the place for you.

First and foremost... I now have a car. Scary as that may seem, it's true. It's a Toyota Camry, and it's beautiful. I'm getting more and more comfortable driving it - I made it from our house to Dim Sum last weekend without hitting anything - and this weekend I'm driving to Claremont on Saturday and Long Beach on Sunday. I haven't started taking it to work yet, but that'll probably start next week or so.

Jen's mom was out here since last Saturday, and she just went back to Illinois yesterday. We'll be seeing her again in December when Jen and I fly out to her place for the holidays, but it was nice to spend time with her again. She came out here because she was the one who purchased the car, but after the business aspect of that was finished, we just had some time to relax and hang out with my mother-in-law. Thank you mom!

Work has been nuts. Want to see why? THIS IS WHY. Among other things, of course, but that ain't helping in the least. *sigh*

Like I said before, this is just a quick update... Jen's journal has a lot more detail on what happened in the days since my last entry. Now, I've got to get back to the madhouse that is my job.
