We had gotten the kitchen table there so, while it was a little noisy at times, we got to see first-hand the sheer volume of food that place dishes out. A good amount of that food came to our table, which we diligently ate all of. :)
It was definitely an experience. Jen was "kind" (read: sadistic) enough to make me a sign that said "I'm 30 - wish me a happy birthday" so that passersby could congratulate me on surviving three decades. When that sign ultimately failed, the staff of the restaurant made me a hat. Yes, a hat. A cone-shaped, dunce-cap looking thing made from one of the paper placemats with the same greeting message written on it. It was a little small, though, so it ended up being converted into a bib. The things you put up with when it's your birthday... Regardless, it was a blast. The food was great (including the extra anchovies!), we had a lot of fun, and Berek and pita were kind enough to get me some crack as a birthday present. Granted, this crack was in the shape of a box with the words City of Heroes on it, but I hear it's just as addictive. :) After the restaurant, Jen and I came home, futzed around on the computer a bit, played some games, then went to bed around the crack of dawn. I'm only awake right now because my old-man-back is achy, and needed to stretch a bit (one of these days I'm actually going to go see one of the Hospital's physical therapists about it), but Jen's still asleep. God, I love Saturdays. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
