Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Contemplative Read/Post Comments (7) Since moving to Wisconsin back in December, I've had a number of job interviews (both phone and in person), and so far none have panned out. In more than once case, I've been told that it had been narrowed down to me and one other person, and right now the "one other person" is kicking my ass.
As of this afternoon, I am once again working for Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. Sort of. My replacement - the woman who I trained and took over my job when I left - resigned last week. So, I'm now officially an independent contractor who will be doing my old job from home by way of a remote link to the hospital for a while. Woot. In similar news, I'm currently studying to get my certification as a PHR - Professional in Human Resources. I've got all the material, and I'm halfway through the first, "strategic management" section, so I'm hoping to be able to take the examination in the next month or so. I've spent a lot of time focusing on the HRIS aspects of human resources, and this gives me training in the other parts of the HR areas (recruitment, strategic planning, benefits, compensation, etc.). For all the job-related stuff I'm doing, you'd think I had a full-time JOB. Read/Post Comments (7) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
