For the last year, Appetizing Muse has been located at Blog City. While the pricing at Blog City has steadily increased over the last twelve moths, the service has not. Down time has become a regular occurrence (sometimes happening three times a week for long stretches). I've been looking around for a new "blog" venue for Appetizing Muse for some time, and hopefully I've found it in JournalScape. Thanks to Eric Mayer for leading me here!

This blog will be about food - with recipes and update information for the three of the six web sites I operate - Shenanchie's Kitchen, Savorys by Shenanchie and Food Fare. Every three months I add new articles to these various sites, which detail the food and culture of different countries, time periods and events. Featured articles include bits of history, food traditions, lifestyle and dishes native to the specific country, as well as authentic recipes. In most cases, there is also a section of words and phrases in the native tongue of the subject.

Shenanchie's Kitchen also contains a collection of recipes from around the world, along with kitchen tips, food links, herb and spice information, measurement conversion tables and tidbits for canines.

While cuisine is the subject matter, writing is my main objective as this is what I do for a living. Food is an aside; I also write fiction novels (using my real name Deborah O'Toole); short stories (writing with another pseudonym D.A. O'Toole); and other articles for Ambermont Magazine under my married name Debby Alviso, where I am a staff writer.

I hope to make JournalScape the future permanent home of Appetizing Muse, ridding myself of the unreliability of Blog City.
