In the previously mentioned issue of Bon Appetit (February 2004), an article titled “Hot Hot Toddies” has recipes for a nice variety of drinks typically offered art ski resorts. Called the “Steam Team,” the beverages in the article include The Irish Slalom, Mexican Coffee, Candy Cane Cocoa, Rum Hot Toddy, Hot Apple Pie and Hot Buttered Rum.
Since I’m partial to most things Irish (being descended from the same) I’ve included the Irish Slalom below, directly from Bon Appetit:
The Irish Slalom 3 C hot freshly brewed coffee ¼ C Irish whiskey 3 TBS Bailey’s Original Irish Cream Sweetened whipped cream
Mix the coffee, whiskey and Bailey’s into a four-cup measuring cup. Divide mixture into four mugs; top with whipped cream and serve. The recipe first originated from the Sugarloaf/USA Ski Resort in Maine. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
