Over last weekend I was able to finish the two food articles for April (Artichoke Ambrosia and Thailand), so all that’s left to do for the spring update is to add the new recipes to Shenanchie’s Kitchen. This includes new tips, reader’s mail and the two new pages for diabetics and vegetarians. I remember breathing a sigh of relief on the last day of December 2003, when I updated the site for January and wondered how I’d managed to pull it off by myself – again. Time flies, because here we are once more, less than one month away from the spring update. I hope to spend most of this weekend tying up loose ends and getting Shenanchie’s Kitchen completely ready for April.

 

As the articles list grows longer and longer each year, I may decide to permanently archive the older pieces come summer time. They are taking up precious web space (which I cannot increase with my specific web host), and if I remove articles from 2001-2002 this will leave plenty of space for the articles to come this year and next. However, I realize certain people will still want access to the older pieces so I am attempting to devise a plan whereby those who still want to read articles from previous years can contact me and I will forward them an “html” or Word file containing the requested article. I’m not sure if this is how I’m going to go about it, but I am definitely going to shelve older bits by the time July comes around.
