Grilling with Teriyaki

Kikkoman has kindly provided tips for using teriyaki marinade on meat and vegetables:

Teriyaki Grilling Tips from Kikkoman

On that note, here’s a well-done recipe from Kikkoman as well:

Sizzling Teriyaki Burgers

4 to 6 frozen ground beef patties

1 cup Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce

Hamburger buns, toasted

Mayonnaise

Lettuce leaves

Tomato slices

Place patties in large plastic food storage bag. Pour in teriyaki sauce. Press air out of bag; close top securely. Carefully turn bag over several times to coat patties well. Marinate 20 minutes, turning bag over once. Grill or broil patties 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until thoroughly cooked. Immediately brush hot burgers with additional fresh marinade. Spread both halves of buns with mayonnaise. Place lettuce, tomato and burgers on bottom halves; cover with top halves.

Because of my husband’s work schedule, we’re grilling our “Fourth of July” dinner tomorrow night. The plan was to barbeque “Cheeseburgers with Charred Green Chilies & Onions” from the recent issue of Bon Appetit, but I don’t see the harm in throwing on a few teriyaki burgers to boot.
