Labor Day Fixings

My husband and I don’t have any particular plans for Labor Day (so quickly approaching), but after having a look at the following recipe from McCormick Kitchens I think I now have a clue:

Labor Saver Mixed Grill

1 package McCormick® Grill Mates® Zesty Herb Marinade

1/3 C water

3 TBS white vinegar

3 TBS oil

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, about ½ pound

2 pork loin chops, about ½ pound

1 salmon steak, about ¾ pound

½ pound Italian sausage links

 

Combine Marinade mix, water, vinegar and oil in a small bowl. Place chicken, pork, salmon and sausage links in a single layer in a large, self-closing plastic bag.  Pour marinade over meat and close bag. Turn bag gently to coat all sides of meat.  Refrigerate 30 minutes or longer for extra flavor. Remove meat from marinade.  Place meat on preheated grill.  Discard any leftover marinade. Grill the chicken and pork for 5-7 minutes per side or until done. Grill salmon and sausages 8-10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork and sausages are well done.

To go with? Maybe some white rice, or a nice baked potato with fresh vegetables such as grilled squash or a steamed mix of asparagus and slivered almonds.
