Speaking of the Food Network, this Sunday they are having a series of shows about “Presidential Eats.” If you have cable television in your area that carries the Food network, I highly recommend these shows. I have yet to see a bad show put on by the Food Network. The schedules are as follows:

White House Kitchens (episode #WHSP01)

Find out what goes on in the country's most powerful kitchens, the White House Kitchens. Sandra Pinckney hosts a behind the scenes look at how a White House party comes together. First lady Laura Bush describes what Presidential meals are cooked up.

September 27, 2004 1:00 AM ET/PT

October 02, 2004 4:00 PM ET/PT

October 03, 2004 5:00 PM ET/PT

TOP 5 Presidential Snacks (Episode #TP1B02)

Peek into some presidential pantries-from elegance to deep-fried favorites. A feast deep in the heart of one chief executive, and a colorful confection that kept the "Gipper" chipper.

First Lady Favorites (Episode #TP1E06)

Do you know what first lady popularized an easy-to-make candy recipe? And can you guess which president's wife liked to keep things on the healthier side? Plus one first lady adds a "twist" to an old recipe.

I guess I’ll be in front of my television Sunday night, taking copious notes and maybe absorbing a few facts. Whatever the case, the shows are bound to be entertaining and might just give me an idea or two.
