But I also love the addition of cheese, mayonnaise, olive oil and vinegar. My husband dislikes the thought of the oil and vinegar on a sandwich, and has always refused to try mine. The other day he decided to go out and get us lunch, buying himself a couple of Burger King Whoppers and my favorite Subway.
Somehow or other I persuaded him to try a bite of my sandwich, and lo and behold he liked it. For a man who loves food as much as my husband does, he is very leery of what he considers “new” cuisine (much like my father), and it’s only after being “forced” to try something that he finds he has a taste for it.
There may have been a method to his madness when he bought my sandwich – he ordered a 12”, which he knows I will never finish. I always eat a 6” portion, but by the next day any leftover simply resembles meat and vegetables in soggy bread and I won’t touch it.
The remaining 6” sandwich went into my husband’s tummy, and once again I have converted him to a “new” tasty trend. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
