Winding Down

Now that the turkey is winding down, we’re making do with simple meals. Yesterday I slapped together macaroni and cheese with sliced Eckrich franks (made from turkey and pork). It was simple but hot and delicious, a nice touch on a cold winter day.

 

Today I had toasted French bread with butter and a bowl of tomato soup.

 

Extravagant dinners and holidays are fun, but sometimes simple is best - until the next innings, anyway.
