So, I figured, I'd wake up this morning and our country would have had it together enough that we'd have a president-elect officially declared. Ha! Shows what I know, and how naive I am to put such faith in the election officials in our country. Good grief. I was happy to hear that Pennsylvania's electoral votes went to Kerry. I'm disappointed that Badnarik has only received 1% of the national vote so far. I'm irritated that on all the election coverage I could find, there was no info on how Badnarik was doing, even though he was on the ballot in all 50 states, but I had to see Nadar's ugly face all over the place. That guy's political existence is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Anyway, Pennsylvania and California both went to Kerry (yay!) and yet, it's looking like W will see another four years. I can't understand how so many people can honestly believe that he is a GOOD choice for president. If you're one of them, please enlighten me, and make it good. Saying "he's better than Kerry", while fair, is not what I'm going for, and if you voted against Kerry, instead of FOR Bush, I respect that - I did the same thing in the other direction. I have heard some people, though (several, in fact), say that W is the greatest president this country has ever known, or the greatest in our lifetimes, etc. Well...I just don't get it...and none of them has been able to explain it to me yet! At any rate, I've heard that if Bush does win this election, Hillary will be the Democratic nominee for 2008. Rah. And I'm still waiting for the word "recount" to come up, and most of our nation fall into rioting and destruction. :-) That aside, class was last night and I got to spend an hour running a software program ("Sniffy") that simulates a laboratory rat. I conditioned my rat to push a lever ten times to get a food pellet. Easily, the most boring video game EVER (and yes, I remember Pong). I managed to find a book of clinical measures in the library and I now have clinical measures for everything from apathy to codependence. I'm looking forward to piecing some of them together in order to form my own questionaire to determine levels of aggressive communication. It's much more difficult than I anticipated to ensure that I'm measuring what I want to be measuring, and that I'm doing it accurately. Wish me luck. I've got some software testing to do today, so I must be off. (Thankfully, TestDirector is NOT involved!) :-) Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
