In Other News

Well, lookie here, I found another interesting article. It's about an 18th century ship discovered at the site where the World Trade Center was. I mean, I've been to the WTC a couple times long before it crashed, but I never thought there'd be a ship underneath all of that steel and rubble. I think that's a pretty amazing find. And they have photos! Even though you might have to look at it for a while to figure out where the ship is for the first photo, haha.
*looks at fifth photo* (Whoa, is that a shoe? My goodness, it is!)

Here is the URL to the article:

EDIT: Hmm, I tried it again later on today. Wouldn't work. Well, if you go to cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com, then type in "18th century ship world trade center" in the search box, I think you'll find the article I'm talking about. (Sorry if the URL didn't work out for you too!)

In other news. About the oil spill...what is it now, 85, 86 days already? Pssh, I'm telling ya, that's what the Bible means about people "bringing ruin to the earth." Even if you're not a spiritual person, you can safely say that we are in the last days. Why can't BP just accept the help from other countries or take the advice of the people of their own? Greed and pride, people. Greed and pride. BP is supposed to install some new oil wells by August. Like it's gonna make anything better. They've already ruined the ecosystem and the economy down there enough. You can tell me I'm wrong, but I think the video, photos, and grievances from the folks in the Gulf will tell ya otherwise. Sometimes Mama tells me that eventually the oil spill will come around towards our part of the east coast and there won't be any beaches anymore. Well, that better not happen! That would immensly suck, and that's an understatement. *sigh* I know I have to be patient, but I do wish God would already put the hurting on the wicked people.

EDIT>>>5.01pm>>> A random little moment I captured while I was reading a book.

"Three Little Boys"

I momentarily pause my book-reading to observe three little boys. I suppose they belong to the woman at their right. Their mother is using the computer. Her boys, I believe are roughly all the same age, are examining the computer to the mother's left. They seem very fascinated with it, typing on the keyboard with such a staccato that it makes the screen flicker. One boy has an afro, very uniformly curly. The second child's hair is braided. The third boy, his head thinly shaven, but he's still got his hair. The mother makes a brief reprimand at the child typing. The boys are all smiling and giggling to themselves. One of them is standing, while the other two are in chairs. Oh my, I just glanced up, the one standing up pulled off a kung-fu move...on both of them! With a sandal? Oh well. I find the whole situation adorable amusing. I shall return to my novel now.
