Wooohoooo!

So I had thought, earlier, that 2 journal entries in one day might be already a little excessive...but I couldn't resist adding this one.

My story "Inside the Tower" just sold to Strange Horizons! Apparently it'll be published sometime in mid-March (and "Some Girlfriends Can" will probably run in November). When I read the acceptance, I couldn't take it in--it just seemed really surreal, too cool to be true. The three years since Clarion were so dry, except for the one semipro sale last November, which had started to feel like a fluke--and now two pro sales in just over a month!

Wow, am I happy.

And can I just say that Strange Horizons was my favorite spec fic magazine before they accepted either story? :)

I really wish I wasn't too sick today to go out and celebrate. This weekend (after I've FINALLY sent out my article) we will make up for it!
