It's been bizarrely warm and springlike in the last couple of days. I worry that the other shoe is about to drop...but in the meantime, I'm enjoying it! Last night, Patrick and I reminded ourselves of how much we like living where we do by going out to dinner at Mumtaz, our favorite Pakistani restaurant in the world. I'm not always crazy about Leeds, but I do love living right next door to Bradford! I ate gorgeously spicy palak paneer with a big garlic naan and a mango lassi, and I blissed out completely. Best of all, we only ate half our meals last night, so we get to eat the same food tonight for dinner again! (Except the lassi. Does anyone know how to make mango lassis? I do love them...)

In other news, I've been deep in revisions, and via Merrie Haskell, I found a perfect site for writing motivation: Write Now!, a series of three-minute motivational podcasts aimed at writers. So far I've listened to "Handling Resistance" and "Calming the Inner Critic", and I found them both really helpful.

And in utterly fantastic news, two friends have had wonderful announcements recently: Greg van Eekhout sold his novel Norse Code to Bantam Books, and Lisa Mantchev sold her Théâtre Illuminata trilogy to Feiwel & Friends, an imprint of Macmillan! WOOOT!!!!! It's been a good week in the blogosphere!

Now it's time to go heat up the palak paneer and watch some Torchwood! :)
