TheOwnersManual Dobe Doinat's Owner's Manual 51525 Curiosities served |

I have begun to read a book which was recommended to me. In just the first few pages it makes so much sense. Has anyone else has read this book, called: "I Don't Have To Make Everything All Better" by Gary B. Lundberg & Joy Saunders Lundberg?
In the Forward of this book, Richard Paul Evans ("The Christmas Box") states: "If relationships came with an owner's manual, this is it." Page 16 talks to me directly, and I suspect it may be true for most humans, where it says: "All of us want to be listened to and understood. We want to be appreciated for who we are individually. We need to be heard completely and not judged, corrected, or advised." Thank you for that concise statement, Gary and Joy! This, for me, will be at the very heart of The Owner's Manual. I know I need to be validated in this way, non-judgmentally, fully, acceptingly. If I need validation, then perhaps it is my duty and obligation to develop tolerance, forgiveness and acceptance toward others. Learn to listen, without trying to "fix their problem".
