Several times on this blog I have published political cartoons as thought-pictures, that is, never drawn, only described... I saw a mockup of the picture below, and I added the caption below a couple years ago. It's on my wall at home, and I thought it worth remembering on Memorial Day Weekend.

A couple years ago, Bush was pictured in a photo op in New Orleans. The backdrop was devastation and flooding, post-Katrina, with a few mostly-minority local inhabitants wading through waist-deep standing water, looking hungry and tired. Bush has been fishing, and is holding up his catch to the camera.

The caption:

"Let them eat fish, there's plenty of fish, isn't there?"
